One of the unique features of the PuroAir 130 Smart Air Purifier is that you can control the fan speed modes directly from the mobile app. But can you use the Wi-Fi-enabled PuroAir 130i Air Purifier without the app? Let’s find out! (Spoiler Alert - the answer is yes!)

What is the PuroAir 130i?

The PuroAir 130i Smart Air Purifier is not your standard, boring home appliance. This air cleaner has a modern and sleek design, engineered to complement any room in your home or office. A user-friendly smart phone app display includes a filter change indicator, fan speed modes, and other key settings, while touch controls on the control panel make it easy to adjust preferences directly on the device.

How to use the PuroAir 130i via the mobile app:

Follow these simple steps to turn on your PuroAir 130i and connect to the PuroAir mobile App. Check out our quick App Setup Quick Guide for more information!

  1. To download the app, scan the QR code or search “puroair” in the Apple or Google Play App store.
  2. Open the app and login or sign up for an account. Please note: You must create an account to use third-party services and products. These will not work with a guest account.
  3. Connect your PuroAir air purifier to Wi-Fi. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on your device for 10-15 seconds until it begins to flash. This enables the Bluetooth pairing mode.
  4. Next, ensure that both Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled. Open the app and select your air purifier to begin pairing.
  5. Connect your PuroAir air purifier to Wi-Fi. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on your device for 10-15 seconds until it begins to flash. This enables the Bluetooth pairing mode.

Once connected, you will be able to control the fan speed for the perfect air flow anytime of the day.

Examples:

  1. Post-Workout: Need a more powerful filtration during an at-home workout? Select the “Medium” power mode.
  2. Cooking Odors: In the kitchen and cooking up some strong scents? Select the “High” mode to rapidly filter those strong, but delicious, odors with the PuroAir’s CarbonTech™ activated carbon filter layer!

Other features of the PuroAir 130i while connected to the mobile app:

On/Off - While connected to the PuroAir App, you will be able to turn the PuroAir 130i On or Off, pressing the On/Off button.

Filter Life - Conveniently know the health of your HEPA filter at all times. For example, this filter is currently at 84%. We recommend replacing the filter every 90 days or 3 months to ensure efficient and effective air filtration. How to control PuroAir 130i via Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa

Looking to go hands-free with your air purifier controls? The solution is quick, simple and easy-to-use - using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to power on/off your machine, or simply change the fan speed. 

Here’s how to connect your PuroAir 130i to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant:

Alexa Instructions

  1. Open the PuroAir App.
  2. Click on the Setting button in the bottom right corner.
  3. Under Service Center, click the Alexa icon.
  4. From here, you will see an orange button title “Link to Amazon Alexa”.
  5. Once you click this button, you will be redirected to the Alexa App. Click the “LINK” button.
  6. You can now control the PuroAir 130i via Amazon Alexa.

Google Assistant Instructions

  1. Open the PuroAir App
  2. Click on the Setting button in the bottom right corner (image)
  3. Under Service Center, click the Alexa icon (image)
  4. From here, you will see an orange button title “Link to Google” (image)
  5. Once you click this button, you will be redirected to the Google Home App. Click the “LINK” button.
  6. You can now control the PuroAir 130i via Amazon Alexa.

How to use the PuroAir 130i via the control panel:

The control panel located on the top of your PuroAir 130i is simple and easy to use. Simply, tap the Power Mode button until you find your desired fan speed - Low, Medium, High, and Sleep. It’s as easy as that. No Wi-Fi, no problem!
