How to Replace the Filter in Your PuroAir 100i

February 20, 2026

PuroAir is thrilled to introduce the newest addition to your home’s clean‑air lineup: the PuroAir 100i. This compact yet powerful purifier is built for smaller spaces up to 550 square feet1, making it an ideal match for bedrooms, nurseries, home offices, dorm rooms, and other cozy areas. The 100i also brings smart convenience to your routine with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, app control, and hands‑free compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistant. Through the new PuroAir app, you can adjust settings, monitor air quality, track filter life, and even manage filter subscriptions, all from your phone.

Despite its upgraded technology, the 100i stays true to PuroAir’s trusted performance. It features the same industry‑leading 3‑layer filtration system found in our larger models: a pre‑filter to capture larger particles, a high‑efficiency HEPA layer for microscopic allergens, and our signature CarbonTech™ activated carbon layer for odors and more. Together, these layers remove up to 99.9% of airborne particles3, helping support better sleep, reduce allergy symptoms, and improve overall indoor air quality.

To keep your 100i performing at its best, the filter should be replaced approximately every 90 days. Below, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to replace the filter in your PuroAir 100i.

Before You Begin:

Make sure the PuroAir 100i is turned off and unplugged for safety.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Check Filter Life Indicator

Open the PuroAir app to check the filter life indicator. It displays the filter life percentage directly from your smart phone or tablet. When your purifier is ready for a replacement filter, proceed to the steps below.

2. Remove the Filter Cover

Remove the purifier filter cover by grabbing on both sides and pulling off.

3. Take Out the Used Filter

Locate the tabs on each side of the filter and pull the filter out.

4. Unwrap the New Filter

Take the new filter out of its plastic packaging completely.

5. Insert the New Filter

Place the new replacement filter inside the PuroAir 100i.

6. Put the Cover Back On

Align the filter cover to the purifier. Once the cover gets close enough to the purifier, magnets will snap the cover back into place.

7. Plug the Unit Back In and Power It On

Plug it in and turn it on by pressing the Power button from the purifier’s control panel or directly from the PuroAir App.

8. Reset the Filter Indicator on the Purifier

Press and hold the replacement indicator button on the control panel of your purifier for 10-15 seconds to reset.

Now your PuroAir 100i is refreshed and ready to keep filtering allergens, odors, and pollutants for another 90 days.
