First-Time Setup
Congratulations on your PuroAir purchase! Before enjoying the benefits of clean indoor air, please follow these steps. Make sure the PuroAir air purifier is turned off and unplugged for safety.
Installing the HEPA + CarbonTechTM Activated Carbon Filter:
- Remove the filter cover grille from the front of the PuroAir 100i or Lite, bottom of the PuroAir 130i or 240, or the back of the 400 air purifier, depending on the model.
- Note: Unpack the new HEPA filter and remove the protective plastic packaging completely.
- Insert the new filter inside your PuroAir air purifier.
- Put the filter cover grille back on your purifier. Please note: The 130i filter twists directly into your 130i air purifier.
- Plug the purifier back in and power it on.
- Reset the filter indicator on the purifier. Press and hold the replacement indicator button on the control panel for 10-15 seconds to reset.

Purifier Won't Turn On

- Examine the POWER button
- Locate the POWER button on your air purifier
- Note: Refer to the user manual for information on the exact location of the ON/OFF switch. Toggle the switch to ensure it's in the ON position.
- Check for any debris or obstruction that might prevent the switch from functioning properly.
- Check for automatic safety features
- Determine if your air purifier has automatic safety shut-off features.
- Restart the air purifier by turning it OFF and then ON.
Button on PuroAir Won’t Work
Are you pushing the power button, but nothing happening on your purifier? Here is how to fix it.
- Clean the control panel buttons
- Turn off and unplug the air purifier.
- Gently wipe the button with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dust or debris.
- Note: Avoid using wet or abrasive cleaners as they might damage the button. Press the button a few times to dislodge any stuck particles.
- Plug in and turn ON the air purifier to test the button.
- Check the child lock feature
- Try using the button again after disabling the lock feature.
- Reset the air purifier
- Unplug the air purifier from the power source.
- Wait for about 1 minute.
- Plug the air purifier back in.
- Turn the air purifier ON and test the button.
Won’t Connect to Bluetooth
My phone won’t pair with the purifier. What can I do?
- Restart the air purifier and device
- Turn OFF the air purifier.
- Turn OFF the Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet.
- Wait for about 30 seconds.
- Turn ON the air purifier.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device.
- Try connecting to the air purifier again.
- Note: A restart can resolve temporary connectivity issues.
- Check the Bluetooth range
- Bring your device closer to the air purifier.
- Ensure there are no physical obstructions between them.
- Attempt to connect via Bluetooth again.
- Note: Bluetooth typically works best within a range of about 10 meters (33 feet).
- Forget and rediscover the Bluetooth connection
- Open the Bluetooth settings on your device.
- Locate the air purifier in the list of paired devices and select "Forget" or "Unpair".
- Search for available Bluetooth devices and select the air purifier to pair again.

- Unplug the unit and move it to a location where it can be cleaned, preferably outdoors.
- Remove the bottom cover and filter.
- Using a device that blows strong air (air compressor, hair blow dryer on a cold setting).
- Blow directly into the wind turbine, alternating clockwise and counterclockwise.
- Circle slowly in each direction at least 10 times.
- Keeping the unit outside, replace only the bottom cover (not the filter) and plug the unit in.
- Turn the unit on and set to high for 30 seconds. keep a distance as there may be particulates released into the air.
PuroAir 400
- Unplug the unit and move it to a location where it can be cleaned, preferably outdoors.
- Remove the filter cover and filter.
- Using a device that blows strong air (air compressor, hair blow dryer on a cold setting).
- Blow directly into the wind turbine alternating clockwise and counterclockwise.
- Circle slowly in each direction at least 10 times.
